The Hawai'iloa Kia Ihu is a carefully crafted sandal designed to celebrate the legendary Hawai'iloa voyaging canoe. With a soft, sheep nubuck leather straps and a comfortable toe post, the laser-etched details symbolize the collaboration of cultures, while the premium leathers and lower profile that offers a clean look and comfortable feel.
The shoe's upper features a soft nubuck leather with a microfiber lining and a soft, comfortable nylon toe post. Laser-etched details on the strap and embossed sailcloth texture at the toe badge also appear on the upper along with 4 hand stitches at the toe badge inspired by Hawai'iloa lashings. The footbed is made of anatomical molded PU with a lower profile for a modern look and feel while still being covered with a premium full-grain leather and laser-etched with Hawai'iloa voyage artwork. Finally, the outsole is made of a non-marking rubber outsole, razor siped for added traction on wet surfaces, and leather inlay. Additional features include embroidered upper logos, laser footbed detail, outsole siping and medium weight decorative stitching.
